Folks,

While I am almost certainly going to pick up a CG 60L from Graham et al (and, for what it is worth, the customer service from Cilo has been quite good), but I have a chance to snag a Stratus Access FZ 5500 (http://www.granitegearstore.com/Stratus-Access-FZ-5500-P20C19.aspx) for a pretty good price. I was wondering if anyone has any impressions of the pack, specifically for hauling heavy (50lbs or more) loads from camp to camp.

Hmm...guess no one has used it, which is certainly telling.

I have used the Nimbus pack for the last four years. It's seen twelve day Sierra trips and lots of granite, seen winter and spring ski trips,trekking in Nepal for two months. It has a uncanny ability to keep swallowing more and more gear. Simple design with no frills so it weighs less then three pounds. I like it so much I bought another just like it for when it finally wears out. I've no experiance with the Stratus but Granite gear makes sweet packs!

Thanks Edgewood. I definitely like their packs, just don't know how well this one would do for hauling up/down Aco and Denali.
