BD Cyborg Pro Step-In 'pons

anybody use these and can offer an opinion? primary use would be for ice. how are they for short approaches? are they so rigid that even short approaches are painful? was going get a pair of G14's for this coming ice season but found a great deal on the BD '07 models.

the cyborgs are not rigid like the old skool style crampons. they're the modern two piece with the center bar connecting the two. would be fine for approaches, all other BD crampons use the same system. get the ABS for any snow approaches though. i say buy them.

REI has some in their outlet, or at least they did a couple days ago. they're offering the 20% coupon now for one item in the outlet. i think they'd be about $130 or so. the older model not the new stainless.

cheers.
