Car Keys - Como Lake Rd (Blanca Peak Access)

by Howard71 » Fri Jan 22, 2010 6:20 am

Hello:

I'm new here so I'm not sure this is the proper forum for this?

I saw two sets of car keys hanging on the Como Lake trail head notice board last Monday. One set for a Honda and one set for a Jeep (photos below).

I'm curious - were these lost keys someone found and left there, or is this where you leave keys for a shuttle? Seems like the hooks were made for leaving keys! :?:

Although that's a pretty handy key holder, that is where the forest service would normally put a registry book to sign in at a trailhead. The hooks are there to keep the book under and somewhat protected from the weather.

I keep my spares on a biner on my belt loop, just in case this happens, never lost them yet.
