The normal route up Cerro Solo from El Chaltén (via the Laguna Torre) goes up a crevassed glacier. Unless you go early enough in spring that you are happy with crevasse danger, going alone might not be such a good idea. However, I am quite sure it is easy to team up with people in El Chaltén if you get a decent enough weather window. You can even rent gear there so you don't need to take glacer gear with you.
