Mick, this is outstanding! Especially the bike one. What a great way to honor an old rope.

I have a rope I'm going to be retiring this fall. It's 120' and 10mm, with a marked-on middle marker and one slightly abraded spot.

If you're interested in it, you're welcome to it if you want to pay for the shipping from Virginia. The last time I shipped a rope, it cost about $30, but that was a 70m rope, so the lighter rope might not be quite as costly to ship.
