Does any one else have problems with...

the MH windstopper tech jacket? The neck on mine can't be zipped up with anything thicker than a Cap 2 underneath.

Just wondering if I got a bad cut, or if the jacket is made to wear as a base layer?

Thanks.

one guy on backcrountry.com tech jacket product page says he wishes it had a tighter neck because his neck is bigger than normal.

another review down the line says the neck is nice and perfect for layering over or under

Personally I've never had an issue with mine. I haven't heard of any other comments similar to yours. If it's newer maybe see about an exchange.

sounds like a bad cut unless you have a Shrek neck. i have a large windstopper tech, size 16.5 neck and there's plenty of room to burry my face in the zipped neck if need be. fits as it should IMHO.

LOL. No Shrek neck at 15.5.

hmmm. maybe I got a bad cut. I got it off everest gear for a screamin deal. not sure if they take returns without tags. Damn! I should not have taken the tags off.

yeah, mine is the same way. When I were my buff, or balaclava climbing it doesn't really affect me though.

No problems here. Bought in 2003ish and have 16" neck (Size Large).

Mine fits me fine as well.

Here is a picture of me wearing it fully zipped up, and there is plenty of space around my neck. (It's the piece under the red shell jacket) And no, I am not some sort of pencil neck either.

Well just sounds like QC at MH might need to drive some more consistency into their chinese shops. I get the feeling that most of us are same proportions but the jacket fits us differently.

Damn OJ, you look like like you are ready to tear some shit up. Wish I looked that tough in mine. Maybe I should get the red like you. :P Thanks for the pic.

This is probably the reality of the situation. Mine happens to fit me just fine; but go to a store and try on a variety all in the same size and I doubt they will all fit the same (I've quasi tried this as there wasn't a lot of stock).
