The Zoroastrians have a similar practice with their Towers of Silence, although a wilderness setting is appealing.

Freakin' vultures, man. In France, I was SURE they would have frisked her first for hidden bottles of wine or blocks of cheese before getting to business.

that is absolutely ridiculous. I don't know what else to say. The person next to me who I just told the headline to just said, "that's crazy" after considering it for a few moments. This is straight out of a bad movie.
