Hey Ya'll...

I am planning a trip out of Little lakes valley and wondering if anyone has made it over the pass between Upper Mills Creek Lake and the Fourth Recess? Trying to avoid camping down near Mono Creek.

You probably would have gotten a quicker reply if you had posted this on the California forum. Anyway, there is no practical backpacking route between Upper Mills Creek Lake and 4th Recess. I've been to Upper Mills Creek Lake on three separate trips and I've never observed anything that looks like a feasible backpacking route over the wall to 4th Recess. You would be much better off descending Mono Creek to 2nd Recess and ascending Mills Creek from Fisherman's Camp.
