I don't know which is the highest one considering the whole of France (I'm a spaniard, after all), but Taillon is 3144 meters high and fairly easy if you tackle it from the Col de Tentes. Might be a good hint... :wink:

Mont Blanc and a number of others Briethorn, Weissmies, Alphubel, Dom, Bishorn, and Allalinhorn

If you can walk in crampons and follow a snow path you can climb any of the normal routes. No skill involed really except knowing when to turn back and when not to head out in the first place.

for one without ice/snow try the Mettelhorn and one of the 2~3000 other peaks under 4km
