Carlos Pauner reports that he has retreated 60 meters shy of the Manaslu summit because of strong winds. He is wasted and will have a tough time going back.

"Carlos is physically wasted and disappointed after being forced back so close from the summit," his home team stated. "He was also suffering from exposure [after two nights in C3 and the tough climb].”
