Does anyone know if the old miners cabin at Horton Lake is still standing?

Yes it is. Was last up there in June of last year. Bunch of junk inside but it still stands.

Thanks, I spent a night in that cabin in December 1975 and again in January 1977 before climbing Mt. Tom and then North Peak. Haven't been back in 45 years but planning a trip up there this September. Mildly surprised the place hasn't collapsed in on itself.

You probably wouldn't (I wouldn't) want to sleep in there now. It was somewhat sad to see how it has been trashed by people who just don't care. It could have been a nifty shelter as it was back when you stayed in it. Plenty of acceptable campsites nearby.
