Looking for tips or links for planning a north-south crossing, starting or ending in Germany. I'd like to stay off paved roads as much as possible, but also avoid anything more than smooth singletrack because I think we'll do this fully loaded/camping style, maybe with a trailer.
I saw a book once, written in German, that covered MTB routes for much of the alps. It had nice charts/mileage/difficulty/vertical ratings for a very large network of trails. But I can't seem to find it on Amazon. Anyone happen to know the title?
