I'm heading to Mt. Lyell in about a week and wanted to know what conditions were like up there. Has anyone been up around there or close?

I climbed Lyell last year around this time (6/29/13) with probably similar conditions as this year. We used crampons when we were on the Lyell Glacier, but didn't need them up until that point. The transition from the glacier to rock was a non-issue. Pictures here:
