Some friends and I were hoping to do the Four Pass Loop on June 17-20 due to the dry winter, but it's starting to look less and less likely with the late snow and recent weather conditions. We've already made travel plans to be in Colorado during that time period.
Do you have any recommendations on alternate 4-day backpacks in the state that would work well mid-June this year? We will be backpacking in RMNP the three days prior but have no problem driving a few hours to another spot. We'd be ok with anything really; moving camp each night, or setting up a multiple-day camp with side day trips, or even splitting up the 4 days into 2 worthwhile 2-day trips. My friends have limited experience with snow travel and we won't have ice axes/crampons with us. Have any personal favorites that would fit the bill?
Thanks!
