Hmm... view doesn't exactly suck, beats Compton, North Philly or the Lower Bronx any day of the week, or any hour of the day, or any minute of the hour, etc., etc., ad infinitum, LOL.

That would be El Tenedor del Diablo, a snow route in the SGWA here in SoCal.

The route taunted me for about three years, I could see it and knew it had to be climbable, but I couldn't find anyone who had done it. It was about nine miles rt, 4,000' gain, some easy trail, then light bushwhacking, interesting (though fairly easy) route finding, topped off (literally) with a .6 mile & 1,600' gain couloir that spits you out right on top of the mountain. I contacted literally dozens of old timers who don't know anyone who ever climbed our route, so we claimed it as a first ascent.
