Congrats Summitpost for its one millionth entry!

by Matt Lemke » Tue May 30, 2017 1:59 am

On May 27, 2017 at 9:42 am, SP had its 1,000,000 entry submitted by AlbertoRampini. A photo titled Red and white on Montagne de Sainte-Victoire, which oddly enough is the current POTD!

Would this be the oldest submission?

No, because in the old days you couldn't add a picture without a mountain page. There was no attach/detach function or page type (including image) function; only Mountain Pages and Images. You could only add an image to an exiting mountain page so the mountain page would have to had to come first. I believe that the Baboquivari Peak mountain page was the first submission to SP.

PS, I just noticed that I joined SP one day after you did!

Yes, I see that too. I had not noticed that before. I beat you by about 22 hours!

Re: oldest submission. It may be the Baboquivari Peak page itself, but its URL does not reveal its ordinal creation. It may have been renumbered when all URLs were updated after the big conversion.
