There was a ton of activity on this site 10-15 years ago. Now I log in maybe once a year; a lot of the regulars from back in the day are gone. I still like SP for the peak pages but there are many other alternatives now, social media, Alltrails, etc.

Compared to what it used to be, I'd say it's indeed pretty dead.
