Denali via the North/Wonder Lake

by FloraOfNevada » Thu Feb 04, 2021 9:30 pm

Hi All,

There hasn't been a new Denali topic posted in a while, and none about Muldrow Glacier. My plans for this route last year were shattered, obviously, but I am hoping to revive the effort this June. Anyone else trying to climb from the north via Muldrow?

Hello FloraOfNevada,

This is a very rare call to climb Denali vs non standard route. I climbed Denali WB in 2011 and wanted to return. This year we will hopefully go to Ruth Gorge, but I could have time and capacity for more.
Let's talk?

Cheers,
Alex

Probably not possible for a number of years. There has been a recent surge in the Muldrow Glacier, and a massive surge at that. It looks impossible to pass. I believe the surge started during the pandemic, and they expect it to last 3-4 yrs.
