Aconcagua weather

by Mescalito345 » Sat Jun 09, 2007 2:24 am

Seems like most people go there in December, January, and February. Regarding the weather, is January probably the best time to go? Thanks.

Have been there for those three months mentioned. Early February always had the best weather. But this is no real rule. Summited more often in Mid-January. Mid-Jan to Mid-February is generally the best. Thus more people. December can and usually is colder. Thus fewer people.

Thanks for the responses. I've signed up for an Aventuras Patagonicas trip that starts on December 26 and ends on January 14. Most likely, summit day will be around January 10.

Good luck! Summit or no, it should be a great trip!
