Specifically the SW face, more specifically the Ibáñez-Marmillod route. I want to save as much weight as possible, so if avalanches really aren't a concern, it'd be nice to leave the beacon, etc. behind. Also, better to take ice screws or pickets for the time-route indicated (or both)? Thanks to all for any beta!
You won't have much in the way of avalanche conditions on Aconcagua during this time. For that route you might even have trouble finding water. Research it and see but every time I've been there and looked up at that route it looked pretty dry to me.
In any event going to Aconcagua during that time of year is like going to the Sierra in mid-August. You should be fine with avalanche conditions.
