Telescope Peak could be fun. There could be some access issues though unless you want to do it from sea level (well, below sea level) ...

I'd like to go to DV for New Years! Is Telescope Peak still a possibility then? We traditionally spend a day there during the two weeks around Christmas anyway; it would be great to meet some of you all. Actually, I'd prefer a canyon then...

Dave and I "did" Telescope Peak from Shorty's Well last New Year's Eve. Beautiful weather, lots of water in creek and big blazing fire at our bivy sight. Only atrocity was not enough beer and I broke a tooth New Year's Day on a piece of bread. I'm not going to mention the 31 mile Def March!

Well, Mahogany Flat or even the charcoal kilns in bad years. Last year in March (or was it 2 years ago??) we didn't go further than the kilns because of the bad road condition + snow...

Of course, if you want to do it from the bottom, access shouldn't be a problem LOL

I'm feeling another Def (Valley) Jam section coming on again! I'd love to hit up the Funeral Range as well. Would be great to meet up with you all (Dingus, tonyo, etc) Would you guys be up for a New Years Eve rendevous? Deb and I always try to spend New Year Eve on a summit or something relatively close to one. I'll "mule" in the beer! :D

I agree with what Rob said, Why stop at one outing?
Maybe have one person plan a climbing trip, one a snow trip and another the New Years thing.

I would be game for a snow climb up Alta, Siliman or...? Rock climbing too, love to meet up and climb with everybody.

Thanksgiving weekend probably not a good one, those who have plans at JT i'm sure wont change them and chances of getting add'l sites are probably pretty slim.
I may be avail for something in the sierra however, leave thurs nite and spend the rest of the weekend.

Ok, now I'm in. :) I have a fear of making plans with you all and ending up with people like Bob Burd and Co.

Haha!! Trust me, I'm not fast at all! I drink way too much beer for that. Of course, I would try to cut consumption a week before the gathering LOL
