Skiing Altun Mountain in early May
I am thinking of climbing/skiing the Altun Mountain in Gansu Province of China in early May with touring gears. Has anyone skied in Gansu (in the Qilian Range) at that time of the year? I don't want to end up on broiler plate ice.
