Questions on some Tyrolean peaks

by Diego Sahagún » Wed Jan 07, 2009 12:28 pm

Could you say me wich peaks can be seen in that pic :?: It was taken from the husband of my cousin Heidi, Paco. He's only pointed that old glacier basin in the image but he hasn't given its name. I don't know the exact point from where the photo was taken but they were ascending Hohe Munde...

My bet is that you're looking north across the valley to the Teufelsgrat and the Hinter(long german name) mtn.

Looks like Wetterstein walls, somewhere between Hochwanner and
Leutascher-Partenkirchner Dreitorspitzen

Then they'd be Teufels K, Oberreintalschrofen (2523 m), Scharnitzspitze (2463 m) and Schüsselkarspitze (2551 m). I've put the heights in the Kompass 1:50000 Wettersteingebirge (5) wander- und radtourenkarte.

Have a look at that: http://flickr.com/photos/piximage/2607192091/

The old glacier basin would be Scharnitztal. Teufels K... Does K mean Köpfe :?: What's the height :?:
