Orizaba - true height?

by Dan Bailey » Tue Nov 22, 2005 3:37 pm

I've seen it quoted as 5611m and 5746m. I'd be surprised if the latter were correct. Anyone know the truth?

Sorry to miss you too. Sounds like you had a rough time of it. We were really fortunate with the weather and snow conditions, it seems...

I just got back from Orizaba. After a stationary 10 minutes, my GPS leveled out at 18,512. It had a view of 7+ satelites, and the reading was pretty stationary +/- 8 feet or so before it leveled out.

Maybe this helps.
