I took some pics from the West last weekend. It looked relatively dry compared to the Sierra.

Got another 2-3" or so up on the Whites today.

Just looked out my kitchen window and they are still pretty much engulfed in cloud cover.

Will take one tomorrow and post up for ya.

South West Facing slopes along the entire range, were pretty bare as of yesterday.

If you are looking for ski coverage, I can tell ya it is a no go until we get some more consistent storms.

I climbed the south spur of the west ridge of White Mountain last January and we didn't need any winter gear. There were snow patches here and there but that was it. Obviously this is a different season and you might get lucky!

If that is the case, it is way too early in the season to even attempt to determine what the snow pack will be like.

I recommend that you check back at the end of next month to even see if anything begins to accumulate. Even then will be early for a good summary.

hey i climbed the south spur to west ridge of white mountain peak over the weekend. You start to see snow patches at around 11,000 feet, but very few. Up above 12,000 there is snow cover on the north side of the west ridge, but its not very deep. The south side is completely dry.

I must say I did not enjoy the route very much. After the 12th or so false summit I started to get slightly annoyed, and it didn't help when on the descent in the dark I fell on a cactus. But you cant beat the Sierra views.

I guess they got a few more inches, but I imagine it is still very dry

I took this from the summit of Mt Goode. It's far away but as you can see, it looks pretty bare. That was on Sunday 10/25. Without looking at the map, I'd say that should be a view of the south-southwest side of the mountain.
