Mountains between Tennessee and Fremont Passes:-which range?

by Scott » Sun Nov 29, 2009 4:57 pm

Does anyone know which range the line of mountains between Highway 91 and Highway 24 belongs to?

The Tenmile and Mosquito Ranges are east of Highway 91 and the Sawatch is west of Highway 24, but what are all the mountains between called?

I thought they were the South Gore Group.

Thanks. I wasn't aware that the Gore extended that far south.

Anyway, I was wondering what area/range page to attach the following peak to, but for now it is attached to the Gore Range:

I would consider them the Gore as well, it seems to make sense seeing as the Eagle River goes from Tennessee Pass and separates the Gore from Sawatch in the Vail area, and Tenmile Creek goes from Fremont Pass and separates the Gore from the Tenmile around Copper and Frisco.
