But I digress. If you could ski or luge or skate or whatever they are doing then hey, you would probably be an incredible mountaineer too. (except curling). All countries are doing awesome, these people have devoted their lives to their sports, kind of like us eh?

klawagar is there as much OG's opposition as media is saying :?: The other day I read that it is near 70%

I was really impressed with Anya Pearson (sp?) getting gold in the combined the day after that fall in the downhill. Heard the Russia - Slovakia hockey was really good. Hope to see a little XC skiing one of these days. Too bad winter skipped the NW (I guess that would be the SW in Canada) this year. Fun stuff though.

Amy Williams won Britain's first solo Winter Olympics gold medal for 30 years with victory in the women's skeleton. Not bad for a gal who trained on a cement track. And beat the German by a massive 0.56 secs, despite their super metallurgy in their sled runners.

She's got a great sprint start.

a mic caught Miller saying he could barely stay on his feet for the final straight away his legs were so done...the man is some kind of out of shape it looks like to me, but straps on those huge skis and nailed the Super G just the same.....(silver)....Weibrecht, a kid half his size, won bronze for the US...never finished above 10th prior....grew up in upstate NY....must be catching the Euros asleep.

Simon Aman wins two gold medals?

Image

I saw a TV-documentary where they tested the balance when standing on one foot. A normal person made a graph showing equal movements sideways as back and forth. Aman’s graph had no movement sideways and he was almost still back and forth. Amazing!
