The ice dancers had to do folk dances -- there were lots of American cowboys and cowgirls but nobody skated in dirdls. Sorry, Bryan.

I think with those well rounded limbs etc, the replacement of dirndls by short skating skirts is very acceptable. :D

Great game. No complaints for either side. Fitting for Crosby to win it. Scrappy US team held it together and gave them a run for their money.

We were happy to see the Canadians win. Maybe now they will stop clubbing baby harp seals.

You don't like it? Maybe you should stop buying gear made from baby harp seal products, you freaking hypocrite. Always complaining about the killing of innocent baby harp seals but that doesn't stop you from buying baby harp seal ropes or harp seal ice axes. Or filling your SUV with harp seal eyeballs. You liberal, weeny, bleeding-heart, commie, global warming loving, homophiles are all alike: bitching about murder in the snow.... but does that stop them from buying harp seal sausages? Or harp seal lip balm? or harp seal fashion glasses? NooooooOOOOOOOooooooo!!!!

I think those glasses you're wearing are made from harp seal! and, I think you're brain is swimming in it!

I liked the Russian presentation at the CC last night. Ballet! Artistic. So I'm looking forward to the Russian games. Though their National Anthem gets old fast. That dirge put me in mind of people getting driven across the trackless steppes to Siberia at lashpoint.

I wonder how hard it will be to get a visa?

Irony....Stacy and I watched Julia Mancusco interviewed on Larry King where we learned she was from Incline Village (Lake Tahoe). We coached a young Mancusco in girls softball when we lived there, the daughter of the judge who formally married us. So we googled her and it turns out she is the daughter of Ciro Mancusco, convicted of one the largest domestic drug cartels (which he started in Tahoe) in US history.

Wow! Sorry I missed this thread.
Was too busy while the Olympics were on, and now I'm too exhausted.

All I can say is that Vancouver has never thrown a better party, and it will change us forever. :D

IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!

With that heritage, she could have become an Olympic snowboarder!
