Just when you thought it was safe to explore some of those canyons off the beaten path....

My favorite part was the guy decked out in full fatigues. So is this what CA is spending their money on, whilst our government figures out how to close our $18 billion deficit?

I've run into a couple of abandoned maryjane farms while canyoneering in the San Gabriels. I would not like to encounter an occupied camp.

One sure fire way to get these Mexican Drug Cartels out of our National Forests and Parks, is to end the prohibition on Cannibis by voting YES on Prop 19 in November. If weed was legal, these farms would no longer be profitable.

Those pot farmers are some bad hombres and typically very heavily armed. I'd say the investment of the gear necessary for a police officer to go in there with more than his manhood in his hands is a very good investment of public funds. Look how much money they waste fighting bad guys half way around the globe. I feel pretty comfortable letting them spend some cash to get rid of the bad guys in our backyards.
