Satellite views for recent DV snow coverage?

by MoapaPk » Mon Dec 13, 2010 5:17 pm

Folks have occasionally posted satellite views of the Sierra, so one can judge snow coverage. I'm interested in the area around Mount Palmer on the E side of Death Valley and near the CA-NV border. What is the best source for relatively recent, preferably higher-res photos?

Clouds obscure the Death Valley area in the most recent shots, but the pics from the 12th are pretty good.

Thanks! I suspect the view may be different now, but I'll keep this url!

For what it's worth, I left DV this morning and there was no snow on Palmer or any of the east side peaks that I could see. The recent bout of storms dropped snow on the western mountains to ~4.5K ft on Fri. morning. However, the rains yesterday and today seemed warmer and that low snow melted. It was 100% snow free at Dante's late in the day on sunday.
