Several Colorado Peaks up for adoption

by Bubba Suess » Mon Apr 04, 2011 5:35 pm

An early member of Summitpost quit recently and deleted most of his pages. Some were put up for adoption. Among them are some important peaks that deserve really good pages. Let the elves know which peaks you are interested in adopting. Those available to be adopted are:

Storm King Peak

Baldy Alto

Fuller Peak

Gore Range Peak C - adopted

Pigeon Peak

Arrow Peak

Other peaks were deleted. I will post a list of those soon.

Awesome. I think that Peaks A & B were deleted, so they need new pages too, if you have any experience with them.

Peak A is Eagles Nest and Peak B is Powell, both have pages. I do believe that Peak G used to have a page though. I am climbing/camping back there 4th of July weekend, so maybe I will put up a page for it after that trip.

I'll take care of Arrow Peak, if it's not already spoken for.

Ryan-

Send a PM to the Elves and they will transfer the page to you.

FYI, just in the interest of fairness to the original author, he did not leave SP voluntarily, his account was deleted.

Pigeon's already been adopted, but Storm KIng has been transferred to you.

The only CO pages still available for adoption are Fuller Peak and Baldy Alto.

On Friday, March 18, the member sent a PM to an elf (not me) asking for his account to be deleted ASAP. The PM was from the account that had the pages and specifically said "my account" in it. For some time he had been stripping his pages of just about all useful information, and by the time of the deletion request, he had already deleted several pages. On March 19, I "saved" the remaining pages because they were linked to other people's pages and had among them several routes, trip reports, pictures, and climber's log entries. As I did so, I deleted all remaining text by the member so that the pages were basically just image galleries. Then I deleted the account as requested.

WV = WasatchVoyage, a respected, Utah-based former member who recently left SP. Not the same member associated with the deleted CO / NM pages.
