It is a the unique combination of someone who is talented and capable in programming, thus hopefully already successfully employed, willing to risk, in exchange for a guaranteed two year deal, his/her current employment for an opportunity to be a programmer in the outdoor recreational industry, trade shows, outdoor activities, the works. Will be a summitpost type format, but on steroids to pay for itself and attract more participation. Money is not the issue, it is already accounted for. Finding the right person to make it happen, is. Kind of like the Facebook story. One young man had the insight to make it happen. He knew how and when to delegate.

That's as high as I've ever seen it. A year or two ago I remember seeing it in the 15,000 range.
What is your conclusion? Also do you have any stats on how long those visitors stay before closing their browser or moving on to a faster site?

A while back I SEO'd the site. It must have made a difference because SP is getting more traffic now than it ever has. But that has come with the expense of additional server load. We're going to have to make a significant change to database architecture or possibly add another server to run just the database. I think about possible solutions all the time and something will happen to address the server load.
