Correction: The hike where my photo was taken was perhaps Imogene Lake or Toxaway Lake in the Sawtooths. I didn't plan the hikes, so it's hard for me to be sure.
The peak is not in Idaho. There are no dams anywhere near the Stanley area and all the lakes in the Sawtooths are natural. It looks European to me.

I have exactly the same question about a Mountain. As I register here, I saw this topic, so A am asking here, not to make another one.
I have this picture from old Russian book about mountains. The description there is "Qogori (K2), Second highest mountain in the World". I am very familiar with the area of K2, so obviously this is not K2. The problem is, I never ever saw again another picture ot that misterious mountain.
