New to the board and the sport

by 19steve69 » Sun Aug 12, 2012 1:24 am

Ive been hiking and camping for many years but just got the bug to start climbing after I climbed Mt Guadalupe, my states high point, here in Texas. Last November I made my first attempt solo and got trapped in a very bad hail storm just a few feet from top and had to retreat. I tryed again on July 4th weekend with a buddy of mine and we made it up in perfect weather. Now Im ready for some more and hoping to learn alot from this site.

Thanks for the welcome. Ive acually thought about doing more state high points but due to my family and job it will take me a long time. At least me family loves camping so hopefully I can bring them along on some climbs.
