"Colin Haley photo of Bjørn-Eivind Årtun on their new route, Dracula, Mt Foraker, June 2010." With a pair of $60 CT hammers of course.
Ha! Ha! I figured that was coming since it would seem you already know how to read. Happy what ever you cobbled together for yourself works for you. And happy I don't build a POS that I need to put on sale to get rid of. I'd bet cash on where you got the idea for yours as well. I directly supported Petzls efforts to build a Nomic hammer as I sure didn't want to continue making them myself. People have wanted them so on occasion I make a bunch of them. But only because I have never been happy with Petzl's choice in design. Most haven't been satisfied from the International feed back I get when I don't have hammers to sell. Which is why the C-T hammers continue to sell out every time I make a batch.
My hammers have been around for over 5 years. They have also been up some of the best new mixed and ice routes in the world. Often as not on tools of Petzl sponsored athletes. But you could ask Jon Griffith what he thinks of them if you like. One failure in that time frame (last winter in Norway) and it was recently replaced with a current 4th gen. hammer.

Here is a couple of comments on the Petzl production hammers for anyone more interested in the details on all three styles. Many will be satisfied with one version or the other of the Petzl products. I'm not, and can actually do something about it.

More on the C-T hammers as well and how they are made and original design input.

$15, $40, $50 or $60? That is what I call a choice. Nice isn't it? Just make sure you actually order a hammer that will fit. In your previous post you linked a Nomic hammer that will work and a older model Quark hammer that won't. It is all about the details. Probably the same reason I build hundreds of Nomic hammers at a time as a hobby, and you have made one.WTF?
