Bivyed at Bishop Lake last night, in the rain. Bishop Pass trail has to be the most beautiful trail I've ever hiked. Wildflowers are in abundance.
No rain today.

Deb: I'm here till the 4th. Lemme know.

Everyone has their faves. I can tell you Shepherd Pass is quite the picture of hideous right now. The stream has washed up onto the trail in MANY places leaving dead trees, quick sand and loose rock. Higher up, the slopes are deeply gouged from swift water and rockfall. I saw 3 flowers. The peaks are gorgeous of course, once you've completed your obligatory 11 miles. :)
