Mt. Morrison & Red Slate Mtn.

Been planning on doing some backcountry skiing (hiking?) and heading into these peaks from convict lake next week. Anybody know how the conditions are over there. This current storm should be helping out quite a bit I presume.

Don't get your hopes up and bring your avy gear. Forget the east side of Morrison (Old Man's Bowl, Baby Morrison, Hippy Chutes) it didn't look like great coverage today. Mammoth area has more coverage. Check ESAC before going in.

Thanks Deb,
I'm thinking I might just stay on the HWY 88 or 50 corridor now! Not that it's got more snow...but it is a little closer.
