An alternative to drones?
It looks like the AirDog is still in development but appears the AirDog would have an application for climbing/mountaineering..

Very cool toy. I have seen instructors use drones at the Ouray Ice Park but those require someone to run the remote controls.

I don't like the idea of KickStarter since I am not going to invest in someone's company and not get anything out of it. If I am going to invest in a company, I expect stock in the company.
