This is the main descent chute between Lone Pine Peak and Peak 3985.
On July 27, 2014 we saw a major rock avalanche off one of the walls (climbers right of the main descent chute). Thousands of pounds of rock came down. Some rocks even hit the wall on the other side.

Be extremely careful and quick coming down this chute, stay as far to the climbers left as possible!

I've been in that area twice this year and also saw prolific rock fall on one trip and several tons on the other... in the exact same spot. Anyone want to witness some mountains being destroyed that is certainly the place to be!
