Even in August they can be pretty bad. Go as late in the summer as you possibly can unless other seasons are options.
ETA: Sorry, I saw you have specific dates. Go anyway. The Winds are worth it even if the bugs suck. Had the time I bailed early been my one and only time out there, I would not have bailed.
