by hgrapid » Tue Jun 14, 2016 4:28 pm

Does anyone know if Mount Eddy is still snow covered? I am planning a trip June 25-26

You should be fine as far as snow but the road up to the trailhead is under construction. I believe it is slated to end on the 24th, but I have heard there might be a delay. I would call the forest service and check on that though.

This means the road to Mount Eddy is blocked?

According to the FS website, Parks Creek Road will be open on weekends, closed M-F, through June. There is a snow drift mentioned as blocking the road, but that could easily be gone by then and is in a location that would not prevent a short hike to the summit.

We were over on Casaval over that weekend and we saw some lone headlamps over on Green Butte. Must have been you! :D

I called the Forest Service and they told me the same thing; open on weekends.

Wasn't me... I woke up 30 min after sunrise!

Some guys came up on a snowmobile early in the morning and went up the route too. Was likely them.
