Hi all, I am new to the forum. I recently bought a pair of salomon quest 4d gtx, they've proven to be great boots. I am planning on hiking some of the 14'ers in the coming months. Has anyone used these boots in the snow/below freezing weather? Thanks in advance for your advice!

I have hiked in those kinds of boots in the snow before and you'll need better boots. If you use those, assuming they are a size larger than needed, wear thick wool socks and use gaiters. Also plan on your boots and socks being soaked if hiking on non-compacted snow.
