The Walker's Haute Route, Chamonix-Zermatt

by stas » Thu Jun 19, 2014 10:23 am

EDIT: Since I didn't end up going last year, I still want to do it this year at some point during the summer, so just updating my post. Anyone up for it?

Looking for at hiking partner in --------- to do the haute route.
I'm 27 with hiking experience. My bet is 12 hiking days for a trip.

/Stan

Buy Kev Reynolds book on Amazon...called Chamonix to Zermatt. We did the first half in 2013 and will complete it this fall. The book is super helpful.

I'll look into it. I definitely won't go without a map or book.

I might have to travel in September instead of July. How late in the season is it "comfortable" temperature, so one does not need to bring a warm jacket/shell? When during the fall are you travelling?
