Elbrus - any more demanding routes, away from the crowds?

Hi! I am a big fan of the southern Caucasus, but might make my way to the Russian part some day, too. Does anybody have a clue whether there are any demanding routes (AD or so, preferably skiable ice/snow routes) on Elbrus, that are also away from the crowds? Mixed stuff and alpine D´s ARE OK too. H...

Hi!

Re: Shkara and Jhanga/Djangi from Georgia

Hi!

Good, ready to head to Argentina. And you?

I know Janne was on Bezengi, but I am not sure whether he was in the Georgian part.

You have pics from your trip back then? On the Russian pages I can only find pictures from the Russian side. But I will keep searching.

Cheers!

Shkara and Jhanga/Djangi from Georgia

Hi!

Anybody been to Svanetia and has climbed there? Any info would be appreciated.
We went to Georgia last spring, and are aware of the dangers and complcations that Svanetia involves, in-depth infos would be useful though.

Cheers,
Peter

Re: Europe Big Walls

Lofoten and More og Romsdal in Norway come to my mind. Lofoten is especially interesting, I assume there are unclimbed lines left.

Google around, there is stuff on the internet, and a guidebooks to climbing in Lofoten, as far as I can remeber....

Cheers,

Re: muztagata climbing permit

Gotamart,

I have the same problem, but for the Pamirs - no partner.
Maybe we could climb and ski together in the Pamirs or Tien Shan? see also here http://www.summitpost.org/show/mread.pl ... 7&t_id=808
