Re: The pair of you..

Andreea is probably still laughing.

AFAIC, I'd like to get "hugged" by a Romanian bear.
You see,I enjoy living on the edge..

Re: The pair of you..

Only "this person" knows how many people actually climb
mountains on SP..

Re: The pair of you..

Is this supposed to mean that some of the toughest climbers and chief contributors may generate more stench than a friendly Sasquatch? Well, anyway, this has always been a planet of confusion, I'm sure you remember, long before the Net and SP came into being. I've tried to join those trying to make it a place worth living in, but I admit I wasn't trying very hard. And maybe it's just the way it had to be, but my hopes and plans fell through, especially talking of the non-SP world. Still, I keep on thinking it is worth trying on but I get the feeling now it's time for another generation to have a go. Andreea?

Re: The pair of you..

AISI - As I see it, this "new generation" (as you speak of), will need a new LEADER to carry itself forth into a land of untouched tomorrows..

So far, I am not impressed by any leader I have seen, except
this ONE ...

Re: The pair of you..

As the leaders of today have gone to the dogs, now I just wish I could see more real, humble patriots over here. But to my regret, this seems to depend whether one of the leaders is blue or red.

Back from Piatra

It was my great pleasure to print your comprehensive page before my arrival to Zarnesti. I found it very useful and finally decided to trek Creasta Nordica and Sudica without a heavy backpack in two days. The first night spent in Cabana Curmatura and the second in Grind shelter (the lower one). I consider Piatra Crailui to be the most beautiful limestone ridge in the Carpathians much more beautiful than Bela Tatras. Ceardacul Stanciului and La Zaplaz limestone arches are the most impressive works of nature art I've ever seen. No garbage, just rare flowers like Dianthus callizon, Aster alpinus, Campanula carpatica and animals such as the chamois, marmot, viper, falcon and three-toed woodpecker observed. A real paradise for every scrambler - lucky to see it during two extremely sunny days with magnificent views of Fagaras, Iezer and Bucegi Mts. Sunset illumination of the W walls as seen from Plaiul Foii - simply magical moment. Great thanks for this page I'll try to add summer album and short video clip as soon as possible....

Re: Back from Piatra

I was very pleased to stay overnight there (no sleeping bag in my little rucksack). 25 RON/night - what a cheap accomodation in a room with 15 or more beds, where I was alone with morning views of Piatra's E slopes illuminated by rising sun. A critically important source of water is located 1 min from a hut....

Re: Back from Piatra

I wasn't the only guest (Sunday evening), there was about 10 or more hikers in other rooms and 5 tents nearby. But 15-beds room was just for me.

News from PC

Just found out that if you are in an unmarked route and you have problems and ask for the rescue team, after they rescue you they will give you a big amend to pay cause you are not alowed anymore on the unmarked routes! It is a natural rezervation and it is not alowed anymore to climb the umarked routes. There were some cases like a girl falled and a rock hit her, or some guys got stucked in the rain and after they was rescued need to pay amend cause they was in an umarked route! Lol after a rock hit you and you are in shock or something you need to pay too lolz! So if you still want to climb the great unmarked routes from PC try not to need the rescue team or hide well from them lol!
