Pik Engels north face

Pik Engels north face

The gigantic north face of of Pik Engels. The peak is 6510m high and the face is one of the hardest climbs you can find. Photo shot from vantage point on a ridge above the short northern glaciers.

Re: Very impressive wall!

Thanks!
Before we saw the peak live, we had thoughts about giving it a try. When seeing it we realized there was no way we could've pulled it off. Looking at it was good enough!

Re: Wow

One of the most impressive places I've seen. Not only the peak itself, but also the area around it.

Re: Wow

It IS!
Not sure if the north face is ever climbed. The routes on the east and south are hard stuff, but it looks really desperate from the north.
Eastern routes.
