Beautiful colours

and remarkable ice formations. Why is there no ice in the foreground, and lots of snow covered ice in the background? Strange!

I'm not sure why but that's typical of the glaciers on Kilimanjaro. Just a few minutes later as the sun rose that beautiful alpenglow faded and the ground was back to dull gray. My climbing partner summited in the dark and missed this view. Sometimes being slow is better. ;-)
