Red Cliffs

Red Cliffs

These cliffs are along the northwest ridge of Hoback Peak, just a short distance below the summit. They drop to a high pass that no trails cross, and then the ridge continues to a small summit and eventually down into the trees. Much of the Wyoming Range, consists of reddish rock like this, and it can often seem more like something out of Utah than Wyoming. This view is from the northeast ridge of Hoback Peak.
