Râpa Roşie (RO) is a geological reserve, located in the southwestern extremity of the Secaşelor Plateau on the right bank of the Secaşul Mare, about 4 kilometres north of Sebeş in Alba County. This protected area and monument of national interest cover an area of 10 ha and stretches over a length of 800 metres. Its height measures between 50–125 metres. Due to the inclined slope and lack of vegetation, water runoff, collapses and landslides have created extraordinary relief, represented by towers, columns, obelisks, pyramids and buttresses of land which together with red and violet colours make it a real Carpathian wonder.
