Sengio Alto: Sentiero d'Arroccamento

This extraordinary war path, that allows to cross the whole Sengio Alto chain ( Carega - Piccole Dolomiti group ) along its ridges, is one of the most daunting logistic tracks made by Italian army.
The starting point of the "sentiero di arroccamento" (transversal route) is the Campo Grosso refuge (1456m) - Some stretches of the path and of the final part toward Monte Cornetto summit are secured by an iron cable.
The way down is along the N side of Monte Cornetto down to NO notch (1611m), then along the path to the W and, crossing the Malga Boffetàl (1465m) pastures, back to Campogrosso Pass.
